I'm From Northern Ireland, Can I Register?
Yes, if you're registered with GTCNI (General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland) you can register with Need A Teacher and avail of our services. If you're based in Northern Ireland and willing to work in Republic of Ireland, Need A Teacher is willing to offer you teaching positions.
What Do I Need To Register?
In order to register, you must be a post-graduate and registered, or registering, with the Teaching Council of Ireland or General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland. In the case where your registration is not yet complete, we do require your Teaching Council Registration Number.
You must fill in the online registration form and pay the annual registration fee of 40 Euros using your debit or credit card. Your registration will be activated once your registration fee has been paid.
How Much Does It Cost?
All teachers pay an annual subscription charge of 40 Euros upon registering for the service. No more placement fees!!!!!

How Does The Teacher Get Paid?
The Department of Education pays the teacher for their work, as usual.
What Jobs Are Currently Available?
Need A Teacher does not advertise teaching positions, or invite applications for teaching positions. Schools alert Need A Teacher to available teaching positions as soon as they become available. Teachers must register with us so as to be offered teaching positions when they become available. Only teachers who have completed the registration process can be offered teaching positions by Need A Teacher.
